FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE Scoot Over Beethoven, McCallum Orchestra Comes Together with Eggmen By Popular Demand: Mac Orchestra to Perform Encore The Beatles Classically AUSTIN, Texas - (May 5, 2009) - The ever popular Eggmen and the award winning McCallum Fine Arts Academy Orchestra under the direction of Ricky Pringle, will reunite by popular demand for another night of Beatles' classics at the Nutty Brown Cafe on Friday, May 22 at 7 P.M..  "After our performance last February at a packed Paramount, many of our fans kept asking, 'when are you going to do it again?' so we decided to give it a try this May just before orchestra takes off for New York," explained John Burgess of The Eggmen. "It was so much fun for the orchestra students, the band and audience we are thrilled that Ricky and His Band will be performing with us again," Burgess added.  "I had the delightful experience of hearing the Eggmen perform with the McCallum Fine Arts Academy Orchestra at the Paramount Theatre," writes Judy Watts in her KMFA Blog. "The real joy in seeing this show was the energy and enthusiasm the high school orchestra students exuded.  So rarely do orchestra students get to perform Beatles tune after Beatles tune. And to see them dancing on stage behind the Eggmen makes me know that everyone involved was having just as great a time as those of us in the audience." Ouch!, a Rutles cover band will front the Eggmen/McCallum Orchestra show. The concert will benefit the orchestra's effort to send 50 students to New York this June to perform at Carnegie Hall with the choir.
